It’s time.....to turn your relationship problems into an adventure in intimacy!
One of the first distinctions that I make for my clients is describing the difference between living with abundance and coping with problems. I believe that it is essential to put our attention, time, and energy toward what we want rather than focusing on our problems. Therefore, the first question I ask my clients is:
“What is your Wildest Dream for your relationship?
We spend a lot of time answering this question because this newly co-created Wildest Dream becomes the guiding light for our work together. I help my clients co-create the relationship of their dreams. I have found that my clients appreciate this approach because it eliminates blame and shame, so everyone can relax. They know that they can spend their newly-freed-up energy on getting their needs met and enjoying each other, while watching their problems slowly fade away.
I focus on teaching my clients how to have meaningful dialogues and encounters, which are based on generative listening, validating that the other person makes sense, and expressing empathy for the other person. Being able to give your full presence to the other person, in order to understand and appreciate them, is a primary essential skill for healthy relationships. Also, being able to be fully present and vulnerable in sharing your thoughts and feelings with another person is another primary essential skill in healthy relationships. In order to learn these skills, we spend time on honoring the relational space between the two people and understanding that it is the responsibility of each person to nurture the space and to keep it emotionally safe.
Throughout our work together, I address other issues, such as being able to get in touch with and express emotions in healthy ways, releasing joy into the relational space between you, healing from childhood hurts and trauma and past relationships, managing conflict, becoming physically healthier, understanding depression and anxiety, establishing rituals for relationship stability and enjoyment, co-creating shared dreams, and reconnecting with your partner after having been in a rehabilitation center for addictions.
I welcome clients of all ages, races, religions, and sexual orientations. What I request is an open mindedness to learning new ideas and a willingness to try new ways of relating.
It’s time.....to turn your relationship problems into an adventure in intimacy!
For some couples, connectedness and intimacy is not their goal. Instead, these couples seek counseling to receive guidance on how to end their relationship with dignity and respect, so that they can start new, separate lives. Couples are wise to seek help from professional counselors who are trained to do this type of counseling. If this is your situation, I’d be happy to discuss this with you during our complementary consultation.

It is time…..to turn your relationship problems into an adventure in self-discovery!
One of the first distinctions that I make for my individual clients is describing the difference between living with abundance and coping with problems. I believe that it is essential that we put our attention, time, and energy on what we want rather than on our problems. Therefore, the first questions I ask my individual clients are:
“What is your Wildest Dream for your life?
“What does a Blissful Morning look like to you?”
We spend a lot of time on answering these questions because these answers become the guiding lights for our work together. I help my clients get in touch with their dreams and with enjoying their day-to-day living. I have found that my clients appreciate this approach because focusing on making their dreams come true and enjoying each day excites their imagination and frees up their energy to take action. I receive tremendous joy in witnessing my clients embrace their full aliveness and confident sense of self.

Some individuals seek counseling with me to help them understand themselves better, to learn relationship skills, and to prepare to be ready to be in a loving, committed partnership with the person of their dreams. I have designed a special program for this, called "The Checklist: Becoming Ms. or Mr. Right." If you are interested in learning more about this program, please ask me about this during our complimentary consultation.
With some spas and wellness centers being partially- or fully-closed due to the pandemic, I have designed a special holistic program for individuals who feel a need to rejuvenate and restart their lives in healthy ways. It is called "The Checklist: Becoming Authentic Me." If you would like more information, please ask me about this during our complementary consultation.
